Our boys

This is them. The boys with such a story. The story of this year, season, track team and the story of our faith. Everything this team stood on this year was faith and love.

When we found out half our team was cut, the emotion immediately dug in. It was kind of like a dream world. It did not seem real. It was so surprising you that any moment someone would tell you it was all a joke.

You may think we were angry, hurt, blamed others, complained. Well you are exactly right. For the first few days thats a lot of what we did. Then the boys seemed to move forward. They seemed to pick themselves back up and have this new drive that they were going to do it. They were going to succeed no matter the situation. They were driven to make this program stand out and to show what we are all about.

As conference rolled around, they were inspired driven, and ready for the challenge. The thought that they were being cut did not cross their minds. They were ready and nothing was going to stop them.

Conference came and that is exactly what happened...Nothing stopped them. They only brought each other forward. It was more exciting watching them. When the 4x4 team stepped on the track with the title already secured they were pumped. There faces shined with excitement.

This was the story of this season. Pushing through the hard and grabbing onto what seemed to be impossible. These boys were encouraging, inspirational, and made a name for this University.

Sometimes, I think this is what our faith should resemble. Life gets hard and nothing seems to be working out. We are falling apart and seem to have nothing left. Yet that drive these boys mustered up to continue forward. Thats our Jesus. He gives us that drive. He pushes us across the finish line. He brings us to his plan. We can not see what all is going on, but we have faith his plan is beautiful. He is that freshness in the troubled times.

Thanks for inspiring us boys.

Congratulations to the 2010 GSAC CHAMPS!!!:)
