Jitters

This morning I have a presentation, a final, yet no nerves about those things. Inside, I am twisting around with nerves as I head to Texas this afternoon with my sister.

I am meeting the Ozuna clan.

I do not know the place, the people and I have so many worries and anxiety's about going.

But I am picking myself up, pushing those aside, and seeing a little of what my family members are like.

To Texas...Where everything is bigger

Nikki Love

My roommate Nikki left these for me today with a congrats card on heading to nationals. Is she sweet or what?

These flowers are stunning!

Bracelets

I made these leather bracelets for the girls heading to nationals. I just bought some Leather from Michaels for $6, a leather stamping kit for $7, and snaps for $5. Nothing like a good deal and cute bracelets for nationals :)

All for him...

Peace

Went to Seaport village last night
Relaxed, laughed, enjoyed, stretched my sense of adventure...
Just slowed down for a bit.
Enjoyed this view.
Got into the Hyatt, put my feet up by the fire, and just let my mind wander away...
It was good.

T hyphen J

Man in Wenchels: "Hi, can I join you guys?"

Us: "Sure"

MIW: "My name is T hyphen J, or dash J, or T line J. What ever you want"

Us: "Oh can we call you TJ?"

MIW:"No, needs the hyphen. By the way, this is my electricity (Throws down a ball of electrical tape and wires wrapped up together). Its been working for 4-5 months now. I like watching it arc".

He goes on to tell us he is out just to make friends. We leave the building and proceed to watch him come out and stare as a huge group of around 20 people walk by. At one point he slides into the group and continues as though he was meant to be with them all along. He starts up a conversation and keeps on with them.

Well looks like he got what he was looking for...friends.

This man was awkward and did not care. and deep down I envied him :) lol

Greetings to you T hyphen J

Heather Pepin

This is the girl (2nd from the right) that I have grown up with and shared so many memories with. I love her dearly and she completely gets me. She is also beautiful, talented, and creative in so many ways.

She is a hair stylist, an artist, and her main passion is her photography.
She just released her new website and I can not wait for you all to see it.

Look at her work. Tell me what you think

Rolling those skates

I woke up this morning with an urge to roller skate.

I think these babies would be a lot less wobbly then me though.

First Place

"God did not ever tell us that he wanted to be first place, number one in our heart, in our life, in our relationship. He does not want to be number one.

He wants to be compared to no other. He wants our whole hearts. He wants us to cast down every idol every hope. Nothing else is even in the equation. No competition. For there is no one else like him."

I have been struggling with this deeply. The mindset of putting God first and everything will follow. The thought that if I continue my quiet time and spend time with the Lord then the Lord will bless me and save me.

It is finished, Christ has risen and this is what we believe. We are saved and the gospel is the proclamation of this. Its a message to rejoice.

It's so hard sometimes to understand practically what it means to be a follower of Christ, but slowly, God is showing me.

He is showing that nothing else besides him even matters. My running, my schooling, my family...Nothing matters. For these areas are calls from him to be light in these areas and worship him through these areas.

Thats what matters...

Albert and friends

I found this little guy in my apartment last night.

He is creepy and disgusting and also known as the house or bathtub centipede
(Scutigera coleoptrata).

He eats other bad bugs, so I hope he was just lost and not actually finding food.

He is a little freaky looking, but I caught him in that cup nice and quick.

15 minutes after I put this guy outside, this little thing showed up on my porch.
Just a night full of critters

All for him

It's nice to go to a school with people who have faith and love the God you love. On Saturday, for conference, our focus was doing it all for him. To remind ourself, we each wrote our favorite verse on our hands. Just a reminder that he was with us and was the only one we run for. To worship and glorify him. Here are a few of the verses (picture).

Vans

I have been crushing on these shoes.

I love the Crayola in Blue and the brown corduroy
Don't they just make your feet want to skip around in those babies? :)

Heading Back

After a great season, a few hiccups (sickness, injuries), and a conference meet where we ran for him, we pulled it off. A trip back to nationals. In two weeks, we will be jumping on that plane heading to Vancouver, Washington for a chance to show how special of a team we are.

Two weeks until Nationals and I can not wait to spend it with these girls.

Romping around

After this week of 100 degree weather, I have been wearing rompers all this week.

Comfy and cool, there is nothing better.

Here are a few from Urban Outfitters that I thought were dashing :)

Sea Lion Women

We are off to do what we have been looking forward to. Our PLNU cross country team is heading to Fresno. We are praying for strength, courage, and a fun time.

Lord, let us rely on you for these things.

Lets go, Sea Lion Women!

Isaiah 40:28-31

"DO you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow weak and tired, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will find new strength. They soar high on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Isn't this a beautiful promise?

Lamentations 3:22

"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed for his compassion never fails. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, the Lord is my portion therefore, I will wait for him."

Bailey Breen

I have this friend. She is beautiful, talented, loving, joyful, and on fire for God. I enjoy every minute of hanging out with her.
Her name is Bailey Breen
Many don't know she is talented in more ways then running. She is a beautiful singer and a piano player that just captivates you. I think sometimes she doubts how good she is. I adore her music. I hope you will too.

Vintage, Cute, Cheap? :)

I am not very good at dressing "girly", so I am trying to branch out and try new things.
Here are a few things I found in Anthropologie's November catalog.
I cannot afford any, but its okay to window shop :)

Next step: off to thrift stores, Ross, and many more college budget stores to see what I can find.

Wind

I love this commercial...It never gets old

My little sister broke her collar bone last night. Any ideas for last minute Halloween costumes for a girl in a sling?

Date night: Nature Center

Peter surprised me and took me to the Chula Vista Nature Center today.
If you are ever in the area, I would highly recommend it!
Its cheap and full of so many interesting animals. There were sharks and rays and my favorite of the day was the bald eagle!
Here are a few pics

My size door :)

Snails are very easy to snap pics of...They barely move
