Little Niche

I love running. Most of all, I love the small little running community.

Today at my school I was walking back from class and saw two people running on our track. They looked fast, so I decided to time them. They WERE FAST!

I got back to my room and got a text that it was Kara Goucher!!!

A group of my teammates went down and watched her do her 12 800's.

Did I mention she has a 6 month old baby!!!

It's nice to go to a school with people who have faith and love the God you love. On Saturday, for conference, our focus was doing it all for him. To remind ourself, we each wrote our favorite verse on our hands. Just a reminder that he was with us and was the only one we run for. To worship and glorify him. I have this friend. She is beautiful, talented, loving, joyful, and on fire for God. I enjoy every minute of hanging out with her.

Many don't know she is talented in more ways then running. She is a beautiful singer and a piano player that just captivates you. I think sometimes she doubts how good she is. I adore her music. I hope you will too.

Oregon Trip

We went to a meet in Willamette this weekend. It was a good race for us. Oregon just always welcomes Fall in perfectly. With the picture perfect greenery, and the icy morning runs, you know its Fall. Here are some pics of our weekend.

Summer is a comin

There is nothing like the freedom of summer. You are in between school years, and have a new fresh start to look forward to. In the mean time you soak up as much of the freedom as possible with work and school and of course the fun things like friends, training for cross, family, church events, beach, God's voice, and having a whole summer to hear about the man you love's wild adventures in Costa Rica. I can not wait! 3 finals and I am there...

Well It's Michelles birthday tomorrow and we love any excuse to made a good funfetti cake.
So we mixed one up, enjoyed some pickles and peanut butter while it cooked:) then headed down to hide out in her garage waiting for when she came home from work.

I am pretty sure we were successful in scaring her. We shoved her into the trunk and drove around the block, after nearly lighting whitneys car on fire the song was sung the candles were blown out and ...

Mission Accomplished

Independance day:)

Its that day again that I love so much! The fourth of July:) Where we get tospend a whole day with so many of our closest friends. What a night of good fun, GOOD FOOD (chicken, salsa, smoothies, and of course the homemade ice cream:)), laughs, and a pretty awesome fireworks show....There is nothing like this night. It's just some wholesome feel good kind of fun.

Overflow had an 80's prom tonight. Just so we could relive those days of legwarmers and awesome-ness. Emma, Whitney, and I kind of faked it (we were born in the 90's). It was still a lot of fun and a nice chance to meet so many fun people!!!

Whit/Em Birthday Bash

So for my real birthday tomorrow, I am going to Disneyland. Since my friends couldnt hang out with me the day of, they decided to celebrate on their own today.

I got home from work and was peacefully reading the paper. The door bell rang and the door begin to open. MY first intinct was hit the floor and hide. Then I realized it was them. I was kidnapped and taken into the car.

We ended up in Balboa park with a picnic of all my favorite foods. Then we played LIfe. I won but I think they only let me cause it was my birthday. OF course I ended up having like 5 kids. WOW! lol

Finally, then night ended with the infamous Tio Leos. This is definitely my weakness:) I accidentally flicked my rice all over Whitney. That was a problem.

It was so fun to hang out with my buddies:). I have to admit this was an awesome birthday.

TO complete it all would be Peter being home...but that's okay!

Best friends

WOw I have the best friend ever hands down. I was complaining to her that I missed Pete and felt a little down about it. SHe showed up at my house at around 11 last night with my favorite things, apple juice, reeses, and cheez its. Boys has god blessed me...Thanks Whit!

This was a girl who did gymnastics with me and passed away in a desert toy accident. IT raises money for a scholarship that is in remembrance of her. I miss this girl and I know she is smiling at us from Heaven

This weekend I went to Sara Stovall's wedding. It was a pretty wedding but man, I hope I can control all those emotions on Heather(my sisters) big day....at least for the speech lol

I love our family's new tradition of being with our church friends. Worshipping together and thanking God for the year. It is cool to see us all refocusing on Gof for the new year to come....

Last night was awesome!!!! A night with my buddies that I barely get to see. I missed them! IT began with baking an amazing funfetti cake and then off to tp( i know we are supposed to be grown up college kids but shhhh) ! after dressing in our capes and all black... yes we go all out. ask the adamos! I am glad God has given me friends like Emma and Whit...I cant wait for summer!!!...we will do some tp damage :)
