Tides turned.

Last week in Fresno was such a good preview for our season this year. We looked strong and ready to bring a talented team to the GSAC conference. The meet left us feeling excited, bonded, and ready for this year...So we thought.

Sunday night was one of devastation for many of us athletes at Point Loma. We found out that the Men of the Point Loma track team, cross country, golf, and women's softball were being cut due to title 9 issues. I could not believe that half of the hardworking Point Loma team would be cut. I do not think that people understand that we are one team. We are not the men's team or the women's team, but one big team. We work out together, travel together, have devotional's together etc. We cheer each other on and we hope for just as much success for each other.

All of of girl's were excited to see our mens 4x4 team qualify this year due to last year being so close and resulting in them falling a little short. This was their year to make it in. They have new talent and seniors with such heart to do well. Now with this news, we have men who are looking for other places to live their dream and we are slowly seeing our team ripped apart. It is hard being in this situation and having no way that you personally can help. We are all so shocked and hurt over this news, but we know God has a plan.

Love you Loma

Circus

Maddi had never been to the circus before, so we went. I was impressed but I have one question. Since when did the circus not have any animals?

Pista y campo

Track has begun! First meet this week in Fresno. Our team is looking strong and we are all excited for a good new season! Already had some national qualifiers. It was a fun weekend of fellowship, running, AND DIRTY AIR. I am proud of my team though and we won!

I Have a good Valentine!

SO I knew that Peter would be away for Valentine's day, so I was a little bummed out. I got a big smile on my face when I found these delivered on my bed this afternoon:) Still a romantic boy friend in the rain forest...I would say he is a good Valentine!

I felt creative tonight, so I made this. I never feel creative so I thought I would take advantage of it:)

Father Daughter Day

I am such a creeper. I was reading my bible in my car on my break today and couldn't help but love to watch this Dad daughter and puppy as they tumbled in the grass. They wrestled and chased each other and rolled through the grass. They did not care about anyone else around them. It reminded me of a new couple and how they can only see into the eyes of that one person. This daddy was doing so well at showing this little girl how beautiful she is. I loved the fun of it though! Hopefully that didn't catch me snapping photos:)

Sweet Tooth

I babysat Maddi and Justin tonight. Well I guess it was more like hang out and give them the biggest sugar rush around. I remember who my sugar rush babysitter was. My Aunt Cheryl. I knew that when I went over there I would fill my sweet teeth for ages between M&M's cookie dough, cinnamon candies and so much more. Those are the things I remember so I figured I would let them have someone who did the same for them:)

(Peanut Butter cookies, Brownies, ice cream, and every kind of sundae topping around)
