Then under those bright lights with the sound of those cleats coming down those concrete steps I remembered the excitement I would always get especially over whatever football boy I had a crush on.
I could smell my letter man's jacket and the left over smells of being in the grass every meet.
Suddenly I felt myself slipping back into that high s
chool seat where Friday's were the highlight of my week.

I found myself humming along to the cheers and the same band jingles. I saw myself melting back into my senior year where I loved that place. I wanted so badly to break out into the wolfpack chant.
Securing a win, the boys were doing their post game cheer, and of course I sang along. Finally, the alma mater:) I think I was the only one singing that as well.
Part of me feels like maybe I should move on from this place. Then I think, West Hills is just a place I can never forget.
I loved this place and I'll sing that alma mater any day.
High above the river valley
Stands the silver blue and black
Strong beside our alma mater
we are one we are the pack
so stand the silver
stand the blue
and stand the mighty black
west hills forever
our alma mater
we are one we are the pack.
